Information about the sacred cremation ceremony of H.E. Yongdzin Rinpoche
Dear Devotees and Friends Around the World,
As many of you know, the 49-day prayer period following the parinirvana of our beloved master, His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche, concluded on August 2, 2025. However, we have continued our prayers in his honor. The grand Küurig Lezhi Gyin-nga, an extensive fire puja, began on August 4.
We warmly invite everyone to join the sacred cremation ceremony of H.E. Yongdzin Rinpoche, which will take place tomorrow, August 6, 2025. The brief schedule is as follows:
Notice of 49-Day Prayer Observance and Cremation Ceremony for H.E. Yongdzin Löpon Rinpoche
Triten Norbutse Monastery is observing 49 days of prayers in commemoration of the Parinirvana of H.E. Yongdzin Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. The observance ends on August 2, 2025. A fire puja begins on August 4, with the cremation of Rinpoche’s holy Kudung on August 6 and concluding prayers on the full moon on August 9. These ceremonies honour his life and Dzogchen teachings.
Arrival of the Holy Kudung of H.E. Yongdzin Rinpoche – June 21, 2025
His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche’s holy Kudung will arrive at Triten Norbutse Monastery on June 21, 2025, following the conclusion of his Thugdam.
Update on the Kudung of His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche: Postponed Due to Ongoing Thugdam
The sacred Kudung of His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche will not be transported to Triten Norbutse Monastery on June 19th as previously announced, due to his continued state of Thugdam. A new date will be shared soon.
