Below is a brief overview of the impact your generosity has made possible.

  • Funds provide food, clothing, healthcare, and educational sponsorship for boys living at the monastery, including those still in novice stages.

  • Donations have helped build the new kitchen, dormitories, and retreat halls. With your generous donation to Triten Norbutse, we could rebuild or repair damaged buildings and sites after the 2015 earthquake. Today, our vision is to make Triten Norbutse a resilient and modern place that can adapt to the challenges of climate change. We began our path to sustainability and aim to become one of the leading examples in aligning with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Your donation will help bring Bön luminary transmissions to our planet.

  • Thanks to your support, several monks and lay students have been able to enrol in medical school programmes, helping us to build a new generation of healers within the community. In times of emergency, your donations have also provided life-saving care through crowdfunded medical procedures, ensuring no one is left without help.

  • Over the past few years, interest in Bön education has grown significantly. Thanks to your generosity, we can realise significant projects that support the ongoing growth and vitality of the Bön tradition, expanding and adapting Triten Norbutse's infrastructures to meet the evolving needs of the growing community. The institution has focused its recent donations on constructing a multifunctional building. This vital new facility includes:

    • A temple space for ceremonies and daily practice

    • Teaching halls for monastic and lay education

    • A residence for Rinpoche

    • A refectory and a fully equipped kitchen

    Now in its final stages, the building was inaugurated during the 100th birthday celebration of His Eminence Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche in early February 2025 — a milestone that honours his life and the flourishing of the Bön tradition.
