Notice of 49-Day Prayer Observance and Cremation Ceremony for H.E. Yongdzin Löpon Rinpoche

Dear Devotees and Friends Around the World,

Since the Parinirvana of our beloved master, H.E. Yongdzin Lopon Rinpoche, the entire community of Triten Norbutse Monastery has been continuously engaged in prayers and offerings. These practices are dedicated to fulfilling Rinpoche’s enlightened intentions and accumulating merit for ourselves and all sentient beings throughout the 49-day prayer period.

We also acknowledge with deep appreciation that Bön monasteries across all regions of Tibet and beyond, as well as Bön centers and communities around the world, have been conducting similar prayers and practices during this sacred period. The 49-day prayer observance will conclude on August 2, 2025.

Following this, on August 4, an extensive fire puja will begin, following the cycle of Kunrig Lezhi Gyün Nga. On August 6, the actual cremation of the holy Kudung will take place, accompanied by the ongoing fire puja rituals. These will conclude on the full moon day, August 9, 2025, with special concluding prayers.
