Notice regarding the holy Kudung (sacred body) of our beloved teacher, His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche
Dear Devotees and Friends,
With deep devotion and reverence, we would like to share some important information regarding the holy Kudung (sacred body) of our beloved teacher, His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche:
As many of you know, it was originally planned to bring Rinpoche’s holy Kudung on Monday, June 16th. However, as Rinpoche still remains in the Thugdam meditative state, it has now been decided to bring the holy Kudung on Thursday morning instead. The holy Kudung will be kept for reverence for a period of at least 49 days, beginning June 15th. Once the holy Kudung has arrived at the monastery, devotees will be welcome to visit and pay their respects during the 49 days of prayers.
Public visitation days will be:
Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Visiting hours are from 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00.
During the 49-day period, the Lama Chöpa (Veneration to the Master) prayer will be recited three times daily by the entire monastic and lay community at the following times:
• Morning: 08:00 AM
• Midday: 12:30 PM
• Evening: 08:00 PM
Everyone is warmly encouraged to participate in these prayer sessions. In general, we also encourage all—near or far—to engage in any practices and prayers they are familiar with.
