The Passing of His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche (1926–2025)
With heartfelt reverence and deep sorrow, we share the passing of our most beloved and revered master, His Eminence Menri Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, who peacefully entered parinirvana on June 12, 2025, the 16th day of the sacred Saga Dawa month, at his retreat residence in Jema Ritö, Kathmandu.
Yongdzin Rinpoche was the sovereign master of the three lineages of Yungdrung Bön—Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen. Through his hundred years of extraordinary life, he preserved and illuminated the profound path of wisdom, compassion, and liberation. His enlightened presence continues to guide us beyond the confines of form and time.
